The Division of Pharmacology is part of the Otto Loewi Research Center for Vascular Biology, Immunology and Inflammation. We investigate targets for new drugs, as well as their effects and mechanisms of action at the molecular and cellular levels, throughout the organism, and in disease models. We collaborate closely with clinical partners and the industry. Our modern infrastructure, along with internal and international collaborations, supports us in experimentally addressing contemporary and clinically relevant questions. Our focus is on expanding the understanding and therapeutic options for various diseases. In the context of the diploma programs for Human Medicine and Dentistry, as well as in doctoral studies, we share our expertise in pharmacotherapy and the research of new medications in a practice-relevant manner.
